This grant will allow us to begin work on supporting new viewing options for the TAPAS reading interface. Some of the ideas we're working on at the moment include things like an enhanced XML code view, an "inspector" view with summary statistics about the text and encoding, and a variety of color-coding options to highlight features of the TEI encoding at different structural levels.
We would love to hear from all of you about how you currently find it useful to display your TEI data in your instruction--do you use TEI Boilerplate? Have you made any adaptations or new stylesheets of your own? Do you focus on the raw XML? And of course, we invite all forms of response here: post any feedback, suggestions, or questions you may have below!
