My dear friend

I had no letter from Tauchnitz save the one I sent you – If he will pay £15 – & pay also for the casting I shall be satisfied – will you kindly send over to Williams & Norgate saying this from me. – & that will settle the business without my writing just yet. –

I will return the proofs to Mr. Masson in a day or two the Mill wants thinking over in some places –

On Saturday I will be for a fortnight at “Allan Park Paton’s Esq Greenock” – & if you please afterwards with your dear & kind folk for another fortnight.

By “next month” I suppose you mean Sep September for the paper & poem – you see they can’t possibly be in Aug August now – but “Sorrow” might – And stay – this poem with my name to it might possibly go in for August – only mind that the alterations are marked correctly – I don’t care for anything standing over indefinitely – but I do care much for their being inserted correctly. –

Yours always sincerely DMulock
