The W & R Chambers papers and the Sir Joseph Noel Paton papers in the Manuscripts Collections Division at the National Library of Scotland both house significant correspondence between Dinah Craik and some of her Scottish and Scotland-based friends and business partners. The letters in the Chambers papers are records of Craik's relationship with one of her earliest publishers, William and Robert Chambers. This fonds also includes letters from Craik to other publishers, editors, and fellow writers, such as Blackwood, Leitch Ritchie, and Margaret Oliphant. The Noel Paton papers contain correspondence between Craik and her lifelong friend, the Pre-Raphaelite Painter, Noel Paton. These letters were, for the most part, written in the latter years of Craik's life. Thanks to the National Library of Scotland for permission to share these TEI-transcriptions. W. & R. Chambers. n.d.
